Beijing Zhongyuan Ltd. and GE held a Proteomics seminar at Capital Normal University

Beijing Zhongyuan Ltd. and GE held a brilliant proteomics seminar in the afternoon of December 13, 2010 after receive Capital Normal University post graduate workshop, Doctoral association and the institute of Life Sciences invited, which co-organized by Dr. ZiJin forum from Capital Normal University.

  This seminar is also required under the Life Science Research, invited Life Sciences experts Dr. Liu from GE gave a report about proteomics research, the title of Dr. Liu's report is "high confidence quantitative proteomics Research-2-D & 2-D DIGE ". Report mainly describes the working principle of two-dimensional electrophoresis, workflow, highlighting the experiment important steps that require special attention and some critical details of the experimental results; and introduced to the students the latest technological improvements related to current electrophoresis. Besides, Dr. Liu also introduced image scanning system, two-dimensional electrophoresis analysis software and the Ettan DIGE technology. Dr. Liu’s systematic and comprehensive explanations caused of great interest to students. In the report explanations process, somebody submit a variety of issues; put the atmosphere of seminar to climax.

    The moderator presented couplet to Dr. Liu at the end of seminar, which is carefully prepared by Doctoral association in order to express respect and gratitude! The couplet comprising Dr. Liu’s profession, present occupation and virtue is very vivid. After seminar Dr. Liu was invited to visit the Laboratory of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, and gave explanation and guidance to the students during experiment facing the specific problems.
